Posting Personal Information...

Even after users have been here a while it is normal to feel relaxed and in with a group of trusted friends. Remember that this is an online community, and just like anywhere else, anyone can read the posts and so it is unwise to post any detailed information about yourself, such as your real name or any type of information that could let bad people get at you. Please remember to use Internet "street smarts" here or anywhere else online.

Avatars & Signatures

To change your avatar go into your control panel located at the top of the forum and scroll to the bottom, the avatar settings are there.
Please do not have any avatars that offend people or are inappropriate, they will be removed and you may recieve a warning.

You may have images in your sig but they will be removed if they are to large, thumbnails would probably be the best.
No inappropriate links or images in your signatures please, again they will be removed and you may recieve a warning. PM one of my team if you are unsure before updating your signature.
To change your signature go to "My Controls" and scroll down to edit signature from there.

100 Post thread locking

Threads will be locked when they reach 100 posts for a couple of reasons.....

Most threads, by the time they hit 100 posts, have wandered off topic. Starting fresh can bring them back on track, or the new thread can reflect the direction the conversation has taken. It also isn't uncommon for no new thread to be made because the topic had really run its course.

It is rare for someone to read 500+ posts before responding, making exceptionally long threads incredibly repetative. This is less of a problem with the 100 post cap - in all likely hood the thread is still very repetative by its third or fourth iteration since people aren't reaching the archives, but at least people are more likely to read the past 50 posts or so if it means starting at the beginning of the thread. The thread starts off with an introduction that includes a FAQ and other tips for new posters. This helps catch them up so they don't have to read the archives.

Also we would undoubtably hit server problems if threads were left running indefinatly.

Warning's and Ban's

We allow each account three warnings. On the fourth warning your account will be banned permanently. Some offenses will result in an instant ban or two warnings, but most result in one warning.

Any new accounts that we can reasonably link to your old account will be banned upon sight.

We don't discuss member accounts in public, so please don't post threads about your warning levels and such, they will be locked. If you still have questions regarding warnings or bans please contact an administrator or moderator and we'll do our best to answer your questions.
